In a forgotten world, the evil necromancer Apollyon rules with an iron fist. Having sealed his people off from life-after death to protect himself from the infinite agonies, he uses damned souls to possess the living and maintain his dominion. Into this nightmare comes Angus and Sesana; brought up in a hidden monastery destroyed by Apollyon they quickly they discover the gods have left only one path for salvation. A suicidal quest that occurs every ten years and from which very few have ever returned alive. As husband and wife, they plot to destroy Apollyon and free their world but face boundless tragedy instead. Through friendship and loss, hate and betrayal, love and hope the two are forced to reconsider the realities of a world without gods and to many, without meaning. What is it to sin and sacrifice when there is no punishment or reward? What is it to love and hate when no one will ever know you existed? Angus and Sesana are tested again and again where the lines between life and death come into conflict with everything and everyone they know and love. How does anyone derive meaning in a world devoid of it? We live in a fantasy world.
FANTASY EPIC (great for live action or animation/no limits to diversity) - When we think about life after death we often think of the state between the two as a nightmare; a purgatory where sins are revisited or unfinished business haunts the living. GLORY EVERLASTING tests this idea alongside action, adventure, chills and fun. A cross between CLASH OF THE TITANS and GAME OF THRONES this feature would appeal to older audiences who grew up playing DUNGEONS & DRAGONS based games or loving movies like THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA and HARRY POTTER.
